Kampol-Fruit installing fruit concentrate line
Polish fruit processor Kampol-Fruit is installing a new line for the production of concentrated fruit and vegetable purees, the company told FOODNEWS.
The line is expected to be operational from June 1, and will have a processing capacity of between 3-7 tonnes per hour. Kampol-Fruit is aiming to introduce new ranges of fruit and vegetable purees in addition to its existing IQF fruits and vegetables product offering.
Products that will be manufactured include strawberry puree, sour cherry puree, raspberry puree, tomato puree, pumpkin puree and others.
“We will have the opportunity to offer another group of products and expand our offer on the [processed] fruit and vegetable market,” a company executive told FOODNEWS.
“This year we want to focus on products manufactured from locally-sourced raw materials (from central Europe), but in the near future [we plan] to expand our offer also to tropical fruits.”
The equipment is being provided by Italian manufacturer Boema. The starting date for the operations of the new line is scheduled to coincide with the new strawberry season in Poland.
